It’s not the first time that rumors have surfaced of Google working on some heads-up display glasses (9 to 5 Google first raised the possibility late last year), but The New York Times is now reporting that the company is not only working on them, but that it’s set to release them by the end of this year. Citing “several Google employees familiar with the project,” the paper’s Nick Bilton reports that the glasses will be based on Android, pack 3G or 4G connectivity, plus GPS and a range of sensors, and cost “around the price of current smartphones,” or somewhere between $250 and $600. They’re also said to include a low-resolution camera that can monitor your surroundings in real time and overlay relevant information, although Google is said to be paying attention to potential privacy concerns, and “wants to ensure that people know if they are being recorded by someone wearing a pair of glasses with a built-in camera.”

What’s more, the Times says that none other than Sergey Brin is a “key leader” on the project, with another being Google engineer Steve Lee, the creator of Latitude. Notably, Bilton also says that Google sees the project as an “experiment that anyone will be able to join,” and that the company is not currently thinking about potential business models for the glasses, which could suggest that they may be more of a small-scale hobby than part of a major push into consumer hardware.

Staying with the Camaro theme I have decided to do another '69 Camaro Z/28. I did one in "Huggar Orange" several years ago but my building skills have improved since then and I wanted to do this one to go along with my '67 and '68 Z/28's which will complete my 1st generation Camaro series. The 1969 Camaro was my favourite Camaro of the 1st generation Camaros. This one will not be built with the RS option. I always prefered the exposed headlights on these Camaros. The colour will be Model Master factory colour "Daytona Yellow" with black stripes. Interior will be black as well. Thanks for your interest in this topic. Stay tuned for more to come.

You don't get many chances to get an image like this, with the entire grid together on track. Some circuits don't have a good first couple of turns, or it's hard to get there from the grid in time for the shot, or a good plan to get there is ruined by some unforeseen problem like a broken down shuttle, V.I.P. traffic on the access road, etc.

As several of you noted in the comments to our post asking for cross-platform iOS/Android games, Words With Friends for Android does not provide the smoothest gaming experience… and that’s being rather charitable.

You might be happy to hear that a couple of days ago Zynga released an update which promises to solve many of the Android-specific issues, such as notifications not popping up.

Sadly, installing the update is not a smooth experience; you have to manually uninstall the previous version, and then go to the Android Market and install it. What’s nice is that it doesn’t lose your saved games – this screenshot shows a game I’ve started before the update and continued after updating.
